Page layout
The top and left hand navigation are easy to use access points to all areas of the site, and they stay the same no matter where you are on the site. At the top you will also find a search function where you can search for content on the site.
At the top of the site you can find our guiding Search, from here you can carry out a site wide search in order to find articles and information important to you. By using the Login you can access secure areas and also switch between the Dental professional, Corporate and Patient websites.
The footer has several navigation areas: About Nobel Biocare, Sitemap, Glossary, Search, and Accessibility. About our website gives access to Accessibility, Privacy, Terms of use and Trademarks. These are available across all Nobel Biocare websites.
The Tools section at the bottom of each individual page includes the possibility to print the specific page, send the link to a friend, use share functionality or give feedback so we can improve pages.
Links open up in a new window
When you click a link to a website outside of Nobel Biocare or a link to a downloadable file (e.g. PDF, Word, Excel) your browser will open a new window. This means that you can easily go back to the Nobel Biocare site by switching windows. Also, all external links are clearly marked with text next to the link title or within the link title tag (alt text).
Page titles
All pages on the Nobel Biocare website have a unique page title. The page title can be seen in the top field of your browser and it briefly explains what the page is about. The purpose of the page title is to make it easier to find the right pages through a search engine but also to help you tell the difference between pages when having several windows or tabs open.
Headings
We always make sure that every page has proper headings presented in the right order since it helps giving a clear overview of the content. When using a screen reader you will also be able to switch between headings or list them so that you can go to the sections of interest to you.
Links
We make sure that links on all pages are descriptive and unique, in order for easy identification by all users and by screen readers.
